Are You Focused ?

I have come across many definitions for the word focus but the best definition for me remains - Channelling my time and energy to the things that matter most to me.

Different people focus on various things for reasons best known to them. Most people focus on work, relationships, spouse etc. From recent experience, I have come to realise that the things I need to channel my energy and time towards is my family and my handful genuine friends. These are the two sets of people that matter most to me.

It's great to channel your time and energy towards work but is that the most import thing in your life ? Work is great but once you drop dead, your replacement is a call away. Don't get me wrong I work hard but I always try to strike a balance.

I don't want to wake up tomorrow and realise that I have spent all my life working without making great memories with my children, family and my few genuine friends. When you die, you leave behind everything you have laboured for but one thing you cant pass on to anyone are the great memories you have made. Your memories will always be yours.

I want to focus on making great memories with my loved ones while I still have the time and while they also have the time. We all know our birthdays right ? unfortunately, no one knows their death day. You only have now with no promise of tomorrow, so make the best of now.

I want to focus on doing the things that make me feel fulfilled in life so that in my latter days, I have no regrets whatsoever.

I don't channel my time and energy on what people think about me, nope, have no time for that. Actually, my mantra these days is - Feel free to have whatever opinion you feel about me. I honestly do not care😘

Rather than channelling my time and energy on things that do not make me feel my best, I choose to focus on the things that matter to me and mean a lot to me. You should do the same.
